Fishing in the Trossachs

Braeval Farm Holiday cottages are the ideal base to explore Fishing in the Trossachs Scotland. There is a range of fishing opportunities from fishing on established and well stocked lochs such as Loch Venachar and the Lake of Monteith (Scotland's only lake) through to buying a fishing permit for the River Forth, loch Ard , Loch Achray, Loch Chon, Loch Venachar and Loch Drunkie all available from our local post office in Aberfoyle from only £5.00 per day.
You can even leave your car at the cottage and take a short walk over to the River Forth and find your own little piece of fishing heaven on one of the many secluded river banks which meander through the lowland Trossachs.

 If you prefer to hire boats and equipment there are many lochs to fish on such as Loch Venachar, Loch Ard or Lake of Menteith where they will include a fishing permit for your fishing adventure.

Fishing on Loch Katrine

Simon and Carole Cranefield, of the The Pier Tea Room, Stronachlachar, at the west end of Loch Katrine, have taken the bold step to secure the fishing on this fabulous loch available to anglers once more. 6 Coulam 15 boats with electric motors are now available for hire to individuals and groups.

Fishing on Loch Ard

If you wish to fish on Loch Ard by boat then you should visit Go Country at Forest Hills Watersports Centre. Here you can purchase fishing permits or hire a boat and all your fishing equipment.  Tel - 01877 387750
